Full-time Technology Project Manager

at Riverside Casino & Golf Resort in Riverside, IA

Reporting to the Chief Information and Compliance Officer, the Technology Help Desk/Project Manager is responsible for leading a team in assuring the effective planning and execution of Help Desk Tasks, Technology projects and special projects at various locations. This person interacts with mid-to-senior level management to process Help Desk Tickets, schedule Technology projects, software evaluations, resolve potentially contentious issues, and recommend improved business practices.

Essential Functions

Accomplishes information technology staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Responsible for Help Desk staff hiring, training, coaching/counseling and evaluating job performance, to include appropriate recognition and discipline.
Initiates, coordinates and enforces systems, policies and procedures.
Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
Manages the day to day operation of the Help Desk. Monitors ticket stats to ensure timely completion of tasks. Understands and studies organization goals, strategies, practices, and manages projects.
Completes projects by coordinating resources, scheduling staff, and timetables with user departments and the Technology Department.
Liaise with management and third party vendors to assure objectives are met.
Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented, as well as scheduling and coordinating routine preventative maintenance for equipment and solutions.
Preserves assets by ensuring disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security control structures and inventory are maintained.
Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and user defined procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.
Maintains quality service by project by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications and benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Assist Chief Information and Compliance Officer in department administration.

Four-year degree in business, technology or related discipline from an accredited college or university, or four-year degree with sufficient courses in business or technology required. Plus, six or more years of business operations experience, with a minimum of two years of managerial or supervisory experience.
Excellent leadership, time management, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Ability to motivate others.
Excellent knowledge of technology standards, regulatory requirements, company policies, computer systems, PC applications.
Periodic travel
Schedule: Full Time, Varied to support the needs of the business
