Full-time Therapist- Child Services

at Four Oaks in Cedar Rapids, IA

This position is responsible to provide Clinical Assessments and therapy to clients in assigned Four Oaks programs. These activities include but are not limited to providing and documenting mental health assessments, providing individual therapy, and collaboration with the treatment team.

Responsibilities:

Clinical Assessments

Completes clinical assessments for consumers in assigned Four Oaks programs to assess treatment needs.
Utilizes assessment to determine therapeutic goals.
Follows the standards set forth by the Agency.
Understands and utilizes defined assessment format and content in assessing all assigned cases.
Demonstrates proficiency in clinical assessment and diagnosis.
Therapy

Assesses individual treatment needs.
Prepares and implements a therapeutic treatment plan with input from client, family, and referral source.
Demonstrates proficiency in use of various treatment techniques.
Develops and implements a therapeutic agenda for each session.
Calmly and effectively provides crisis intervention in emergency situations.
Completes on-call duties as assigned.
Maintains caseload and consistently achieves quota.
Education/Experience:

Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a Master’s Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited college or university required. Must be licensed in Iowa as an LMSW, LISW, LMHC, LMHCt, or t-LMFT.

About the Sexual Abuse Treatment and Re-Orientation Program (STOP)

STOP serves adolescent males who have sexual behavior problems in an enhanced residential treatment facility and in their community-based out-patient program. Components of treatment include individual and family therapy, individual core counseling, and group skill training.
