The Alliant Energy Talent Acquisition department is currently recruiting experienced Talent Acquisition Specialists (May be filled up to a Senior Level) to assist us with our mission of recruiting top talent to the Alliant Energy organization. These positions will be based out of either Madison, WI, or Cedar Rapids, IA.

The individuals selected for these critical roles will be tasked with developing long-term; consultative recruitment approaches to ensure Alliant Energy is viewed as an employer of choice in both the Energy sector and the communities in which we serve.
Based on the candidate’s previous experience and these positions will support one or more of the following organizations:

Information Technology
Accounting & Finance
WI or IA Bargaining unit
Customer Service & Business Development
Other Business Units as Assigned

Job Responsibilities
Acts as a resource to identify, source, attract and screen, qualified, diverse, high performance talent focusing on hourly and salaried positions in assigned business unit.
Coordinates postings and sourcing, collects and screens resumes and applications, conducts phone screens, schedules on-site interviews, assists with reference checks, and initiates the new hire process.
Provides effective and timely internal transfer processing for hiring managers and the employees for assigned positions in compliance with corporate guidelines or specific collective bargaining agreements.
Establishes and maintains proactive candidate sourcing initiatives aimed at attracting qualified diverse candidates for vacancies that are posted externally.
Utilizes applicant tracking system and other web based tools to search, identify and attract qualified candidates.
Attends career fairs and other recruitment events. Builds and maintains relationships with universities, colleges and technical schools to fill the future pipeline.
Develops and implements strategic recruitment plans for hard to fill positions.
Analyzes recruitment data to determine most cost effective methods for developing applicant pools.
Actively seeks sources for recruiting diverse candidates, and establishes working relationships with key organizations and contacts to enhance corporate diversity.
Attends recruiting related and educational seminars, conferences or career-related functions to meet with professional contacts and recruit potential candidates.
Applies company programs, practices and procedures related to the recruitment life cycle in compliance with federal, state and local law.
Ensures that compliance related documentation and files are complete and timely.
Stays abreast of and supports affirmative action efforts by applying utilization goals and working with managers to develop recruitment plans.
Consults with the hiring manager and HR staff to ensure that employment offers are fair and equitable and will attract high caliber candidates.
Works with corporate attorneys or outside council to coordinate applications for employment visas.
Contributes and may lead recruitment projects, events and process improvements with some direction from manager.
Provides potential candidates with an overview of company services, culture, and work environment related to open positions.
Develops and maintains strong relationships and partners with hiring managers, business unit leaders and HR.
Partners with business unit leaders to forecast and develop plans for key staffing initiatives.
Provides proactive and regular follow up with the respective hiring managers and candidates to ensure timeliness of recruitment process.
Assists in training and educating new Talent Acquisition staff as well as orientating them to systems and processes.
Performs all other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Specific to Talent Acquisition Specialist II

This position requires a four year degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in business administration, human resources or related area and three years of professional experience in a human resources related field with an emphasis in recruiting professional and/or hourly positions required and experience with collective bargaining agreements desired; in the absence of a degree seven years of related experience is required.

Specific to Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

This position requires a four year degree from an accredited college or university and five years of experience in recruitment with an emphasis on recruiting professional, leadership and technical positions. In the absence of a degree nine years of related experience, including five years of experience in recruitment with an emphasis on recruiting professional, leadership and technical positions, is required.

Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence others using tact and professionalism.
Demonstrated informal leadership skills.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels.
Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, sometimes lead, and follow through on multiple projects/work initiatives at one time.
Ability to travel to attend networking events and career fairs required.
Ability to work in a fast paced, diverse work environment.
Possession of a valid driver’s license required.
Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to maximize web-based recruiting tools, systems and software preferred.
Skilled at developing and leveraging consultative recruitment strategies
Solid background in social media recruitment techniques
Solid project management skills
Experience recruiting in a OFCCP environment
