Position Overview

The Colocation Sales Associate will grow new business by aggressively identifying and closing complex sales opportunities. This position will be selling complex enterprise level technology solutions through farming new clients in a wide variety of markets.

Responsibilities

Utilizing a consultative sales approach, identify prospects by cold calling, follow up with existing customers, network and promote lead activity.
Effectively identify and qualify prospects and present compelling business case in support of obtaining pre-sales resources.
Develop and maintain a pipeline of new opportunities while closing existing opportunities while maintaining a quality of documented information.
Develop personal knowledge of industry/market sector, clients’ business challenges and the impact of potential future changes.
Be the trusted advisor to the C-level community in targeted opportunities.
Build upon your ‘C’-level client contacts and relationships and proactively gain understanding of the client’s business problem/opportunity.
Perform needs analysis, prepare and present proposals, perform product demonstrations.
Maintain current product, product application and capability, product justification and competitive product knowledge. Know enough to be accepted and recognized as an expert in your field.
Document sales activity and track prospects.
Be the primary relationship manager with the client during the sales cycle and have responsibility for fostering the development of new relationships.
Listen to understand client needs and requirements.
Collaborate with Business Development and Account Manager to perform quarterly business reviews including preparation, action items and ticket tracking.
Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound activities.
Research potential accounts, identify proper contacts and generate interest.
Provide effective demos to prospective clients.
Process sales requests and client orders.
Achieve relevant quotas.
Manage agreements and monitor monthly SLA review.
Prepare Statement of Work.
Responsible for entering time & expense in ConnectWise as it occurs.
Work with Business Development and Marketing departments.
Other duties assigned by Director of Business Development.

Proven track record of meeting and exceeding established quotas.

Interact with and work well with others in various fast changing environments/situations including strong networking and listening skills.
Previous experience in prospecting new clients.
Strong industry expertise, technical sales skills and a thorough knowledge of the marketplace, competition, industry segment and suppliers in order to leverage the CCR’s value proposition.
Motivated in a sales environment.
Strong phone presence and experience in cold calling prospects.
Ability to build rapport with a new prospect efficiently.
Experience working in sales management software.
Strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.
Works under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines.
Maintains and promotes social, ethical and organizational standards in conducting internal and external business activities.
Experience using presentation tools with a high level of presentation skills.
Strong listening skills to understand and seek clarification.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Assist with tradeshows as necessary.
Confident and adaptable personality is necessary to relate to diverse customer base.
Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record and proof of insurance.
Travel is required.
