Full-time Facilities Director

at Four Oaks in Cedar Rapids, IA

This position is responsible for overseeing the management of all agency facilities including housing entities by performing a wide range of administrative, asset management and supervisory tasks.

Administration

Responsible to oversee facility operations at all sites
Actively participates in strategic planning for the organization’s facility needs
Responsible for the development, design, delivery, evaluation, and quality improvement of Agency services in all assigned areas.
Responsible for the design, implementation, and refining of agency facilities through a 5 year capital plan.
Manages grounds/buildings to eliminate or reduce risk
Assists in the development and administration of annual operational and capital budgets.
Asset Management

Develops and maintains systems to assure the responsible management of the agency’s assets.
Demonstrates proactive accountability for assigned systems and their effective functioning.
Provides preventative maintenance planning to assure the maximum use of organizational assets.
Responds to requests for servicing and information per identified standards.
Oversees the coordination of building space allocation & layout, communication services and expansions for all organizational sites.
Initiates required repair, maintenance, and expansion needs.
Supervisory

Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.
Accomplishes results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; conducting training; implementing enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by enforcing organization standards; adheres to legal regulations.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Education/Experience:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management or a related field and/or 10 years related experience is required for this position. Previous supervisory skills are necessary. Additional qualifications include:

Strong Analytical and problem solving abilities
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong computer skills in a MS Office environment
