Percent Time: 100%
Type of Position Regular: A position which is considered essential for the effective long-term operation of the university. Persons appointed to this position will receive the privileges and benefits associated with regular employment status.
Duties:
The Immigration Case Coordinator will provide case management and consultation for employment-based immigration services for University faculty and staff. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

Generally manage and oversee all current cases in Faculty and Staff Immigration Services (FSIS) from beginning to end of process.
Correspond with hiring department/division/college documentating position offered for sponsorship.
Documents in detailed manner employee/dependent information with eIMMIGRATIONAIR system.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of credential verification and a criminal background check.

Five professional references will be requested at a later step in the recruitment process.



Education Required:
A Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience Required:
HR experience (typically 1-3 years)

Experience, a minimum of 6 months, coordinating projects or services

Demonstrates a working knowledge and ability to:
work with a variety of individuals and groups in a collaborative, constructive and civil manner while appreciating the unique contribution of individuals from varied cultures, race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
gather and analyze data for a specific or variety of needs and/or projects.
ability to process information with high levels of accuracy.
use office supports tools available on the desktop (e.g. Microsoft Office including Microsoft Access).
effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) and to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
Desirable Qualifications:


Experience with University policies and systems.
Experience using an automated Human Resources Information System, utilizing basic functions and features (e.g. PeopleSoft, HR Transaction/Workflow system).
Experience with immigration policies or practices.
